Group Visits at Canterbury Tales
Ever wondered what it would be like to step back in time and experience the sights, sounds and smells of 14th century Eangland? At The Canterbury Tales you can do just that. Offering an excellent introduction to the city and its most famous literary connection Geoffrey Chaucer, England's finest poet, this popular centrally located attraction sets the scene of five of Chaucer's tales in an entertaining and informative way.
Groups can step back in time to join Chaucer and his merry band of pilgrims on their pilgrimage from The Tabard Inn to the shrine of St Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral. Along the way their stories of love, romance, jealousy and trickery are vividly re-created with all the fun and excitement of the famous Tales. The Canterbury Tales is an audio guided attraction with translations available in French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. A special commentary for children is also available.

How to book:
For discounted admission prices pre-booking is required. Please complete and submit our group booking enquiry form (available via the website) or contact us directly. Our Group Bookings Office is open Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm.
Coach Parking:
Designated Coach Parking is available at Canterbury Coach Park. A coach drop off point is available in the City Centre. This facility must be pre-booked. For details and to book please call (01227) 378 131.

The following prices are valid for pre-booked groups of 15 or more people until 31/01/2011
Adult £6.95
Child (5-15yrs) £5.35
Senior Citizen £5.95
Student (with proof of ID) £5.95
Payment Options
Pre payment is required for all group bookings. The Canterbury Tales accepts cash and cheques (in Sterling), Switch, Mastercard and Visa. For regular customers, payment can be made via BACS transfer if arrangements are made in advance. Cheques should be made payable to Heritage Projects (Canterbury) Limited. Credit and Voucher facilities are only accepted when a written agreement is established in advance of your visit.
Cancellation Policy
Notice of cancellations must be given 48 hours in advance, otherwise we reserve the right to impose an administration fee of 100% of the total amount of your reserved booking.
The Canterbury Tales reserves the right to alter or withdraw any package, facility, exhibit, event, service or price without notice, and to refuse admission to any party.

The Canterbury Tales is centrally located in St Margaret's Street, which is situated just off the main High Street, minutes from Canterbury Cathedral, and The Canterbury Visitor Centre.
By car: From Dover, Folkestone - Approach via A2 London bound. Take A2050, signposted Canterbury.
From Faversham, London - Approach via M2, A2. Take A2050, signposted Canterbury.
From Ashford - Approach via A28.
From Ramsgate, Herne Bay, Thanet - Approach via A28.
By train: From Canterbury East Station cross over the footbridge. Turn left down steps and right into Castle Row. Follow the road round and turn into Castle Street. Continue to the end and cross straight across into St Margaret's Street by 'Three Tuns' pub. The Canterbury Tales is on the left opposite HMV.
From Canterbury West Station turn right out of station into Station Road West. Turn left at the end of the street into St Dunstan's. Continue straight on for about 5-10 minutes, passing through the West Gate, into St Peter's Street and on into the Hight Street. St Margaret's Street
is on the right hand side just past Nason's Department store. The Canterbury Tales is on the right opposite HMV.
